E|SPACES hosts American Cancer Society Fundraiser, “MORE BIRTHDAYS”

The American Cancer Society just launched a National campaign called “MORE BIRTHDAYS” celebrating more than 11 million cancer survivors celebrating birthdays! “MORE BIRTHDAYS” is coming to Nashville on Saturday November 13, 2010 from 6:30pm-10:00pm. Light music, work by other local artists and networking will be the main focus of the evening. Donations will be taken at the door and will benefit the American Cancer Society.

E|SPACES hosts Board Retreat for Autism Society of Middle Tennessee

Saturday, November 13, 2010 9:00am-3:00pm the Autism Society of Middle Tennessee will hold their Board of Directors Retreat. This is a strategic planning and visions for the future session that will be facilitated by Jim Vallaincourt. E|SPACES will host the event in their beautiful space on 4322 Harding Pike.

Gary Scott Added to Member Council

Veteran banker Gary Scott has been added to the E|SPACES Member Council, according to Jim Lackey, Council Chair. Gary currently serves on the Board of Directors of Pinnacle Financial Partners. His banking career started at Third National Bank and included Cheatham State Bank, First American National Bank, and most recently Mid-America Bancshares and PrimeTrust Bank, where he served as Chairman and CEO. Mr. Scott has been active in leadership roles in the Tennessee Bankers Association and American Bankers Association.

Amy Everhart Joins Member Council

Attorney Amy J. Everhart has joined the E|SPACES Member Council, according to Jim Lackey, Council Chair. Amy founded her firm to focus on individuals and organizations in the creative industries, entrepreneurs, inventors, business owners, and others with legal needs in the areas of trademark, copyright, entertainment, and the internet. From 1998 to 2009, she practiced law with the Nashville firm Riley Warnock & Jacobson, PLC. A graduate of Vanderbilt School of   Law, Ms. Everhart is the Founding Co-Chair of the Solo and Small-Practice Committee of the Nashville Bar Association, former Chair of the Entertainment & Sports Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, and Executive Council Member of the Intellectual Property Section of the Tennessee Bar Association.

Sid Chambless Joins Member Council

Jim Lackey, Chair of the E|SPACES Member Council, announces the addition of Sid Chambless to the Council. Sid is Executive Director of the Nashville Capital Network (NCN) and Managing Partner of the NCN Angel Fund. The NCN focuses on supporting entrepreneurs as they develop business concepts and seek funding, along with developing sources of capital for early stage investments. As of the beginning of 2010, NCN had participated in $17.8 million in funding for 19 companies, and in April announced the funding of the 20th company.
